May Days
Well, it’s May! The time has suddenly gone from a slow crawl to the speed of the start of a race. I can only imagine that it will get much more intense in the coming weeks and months. Once again, I’ve tried writing many times, only to end up with nothing published. I start a post, but then need to update it, only to be interrupted partway through. The Cider Press
Sometimes we're so responsible and diligent, but the tasks we deal with on a regular basis are so redundant that we can get discouraged and feel like we're not doing anything productive or useful. If we don't take the time to do something that is enjoyable for the sake of our own sanity, we could grow to resent those tasks. That's why when Scott found this cider press at a rummage sale, he knew he needed to fix it up as a project for his sanity.

Independence Day
A belated Happy Independence Day! I hope you all had a blessed Independence Day this year and were able to enjoy time spent with family and loved ones. I was telling Scott recently that I think that this may just be my favorite holiday. As a child I would have told you otherwise…I mean who doesn’t love Christmas, right? But while I do love the other major holidays that we celebrate around here, our nation’s independence is just—special.
