After the fire, it seemed like a good time to review our 2018 homesteading plans to see if we were on track, and what kind of changes we might need to make with some of the new projects that will be requiring our time this year.
April wasn’t quite as productive for us as March was, but sometimes that happens in Wisconsin. You never know if you’ll wind up with the flu or get buried in a snowstorm. Some years we get sunburn, other years, not so much!
There are a lot of different aspects to planning a garden. There were a few I had nearly been afraid to tackle up until this last week. Seed starting dates, frost dates, and how much to plant in order to feed our family for a year… all things that seemed somewhat elusive to me until now! Praying that our plans this year provide us with our best garden yet!
Homesteading plans are almost never concrete, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t still try and make some!
We’ve been encountering a lot of obstacles on the homestead recently, but attitude has everything to do with overcoming them!
