A Springtime Tour of the Homestead

    May 28, 2018 /

Everything changes in just a matter of a week or two during the season of spring. One day the grass might be patchy and thin, and a few days later it looks like it hasn't been cut in weeks. The trees only flower briefly before fruit begins to grow, and everything that was brown quickly turns to green.

    Homesteading in Wisconsin: March

    April 2, 2018 /

Like many other states, weather during the month of March is unpredictable. One day it's 50 degrees out and sunny, and the next it is below freezing and snowing, so we take advantage of the weather... utilizing the snowy days for working on unfinished projects indoors, and using the nice, warm days for outdoor work on the homestead.

    Homesteading Burnout

    March 9, 2018 /

Homesteading burnout is a real thing. The decision to start homesteading isn't one taken lightly by anybody, and it's no surprise that it can be stressful. The question is, how do you deal with that stress, and what are steps you can take to help reduce it or avoid it in the future?
