I love seeing the things that our homesteading kids get excited about! Greenhouses, seeds, pruning trees, chickens… even making maple syrup!
There are a lot of different aspects to planning a garden. There were a few I had nearly been afraid to tackle up until this last week. Seed starting dates, frost dates, and how much to plant in order to feed our family for a year… all things that seemed somewhat elusive to me until now! Praying that our plans this year provide us with our best garden yet!
Homesteading plans are almost never concrete, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t still try and make some!
Some garden seasons aren’t meant to be. The weather gets in the way, a busy, unavoidable schedule, or unexpected life events. While we should look at why we failed, we should look for the silver lining and think about what did go right and what we can do better next time.
The month of July in review.
We’ve been encountering a lot of obstacles on the homestead recently, but attitude has everything to do with overcoming them!
